It's an awkward situation when your child can't wait to go on the world class white knuckle thrills at Alton Towers but you, their parents, are shaking in you're shoes at the thought of riding. Or maybe you are a single parent trying to treat your kids to a day out, but you can't leave your younger children on their own to accompany the older ones on the rides. Well Alton Towers have come up with the answer, Rent-A-Mum, a new service that will be launched by Nell McAndrew on Monday June 23rd.

The Rent-A-Mum service will provide a responsible adult to accompany your child onto the rides, so they can get the most out of the day while you take it easy waiting for them. Obviously numbers are limited so if you are interested in taking up this service, please fill out the form on the Rent-A-Mum page on the official Alton Towers website . Please note this service is only available to resort hotel guests.

What is you're opinion on the new service ? Very Happy

I like the idea of making your child/children getting the most out of your day but there is sometimes that situation when parents don’t like the look of some rides and I think that this is a great opportunity for it.

But on the other hand the child might be a little bit concerned sitting next to a stranger cheering them on and saying "Hold on tight!”

Ive rented plenty of mums and dont see the problem Razz

i think its a good idea for outgoing kids.
who will talk to a new face.
but for shy kids i think it would just be awkward.
